Description
Indication: OxyContin 80mg is indicated for the management of severe pain requiring daily, around-the-clock, long-term opioid treatment for which alternative treatment options are inadequate.

Addiction, Abuse, and Misuse: OxyContin exposes users to risks of opioid addiction, abuse, and misuse, which can lead to overdose and death.

Life-Threatening Respiratory Depression: Serious, life-threatening, or fatal respiratory depression may occur.

Accidental Ingestion: Accidental ingestion of even one 80mg tablet, especially by children, can result in a fatal overdose.

Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome: Prolonged use during pregnancy can result in neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome.

CYP3A4 Interaction: Concomitant use with CYP3A4 inhibitors or inducers may cause fatal respiratory depression.
Dispensing Note: This 80mg strength is reserved for opioid-tolerant patients only. This single dose may be fatal to opioid-naive individuals.
